China Satcom is a satellite operator, which is nominated as the first-class national team for emergency communications support.

For years, by virtue of its independently controllable satellite resources and the comprehensive advantages featuring integrated (space/terrestrial) system, China Satcom has excellently completed multiple satellite-based emergency communications support tasks in numerous major activities and natural disaster relief operations, such as evacuation of Chinese nationals from Libya, snow disaster rescues, earthquake relief works respectively in Wenchuan, Yushu and Lushan (Ya’an) and mud-rock flow relief in Zhouqu, to name a few.
