China Satcom is the fundamental support unit for the secure transmission of Chinese broadcasting and TV programs. China Satcom provides secure and reliable transmission support for 327 channels of TV programs and 324 channels of radio programs in China and nearly 300 channels of foreign TV programs via its ChinaSat 6A, ChinaSat 6B, ChinaSat 6C, ChinaSat 9, ChinaSat 9A, Apstar-5, Apstar-6 and Apstar-7 satellites.

For years, China Satcom’s program transmission services have played outstanding supportive role in numbers of major events, including the 18th session of the National People’s Congress, the 60th anniversary celebration of the founding of New China, the launch of Shenzhou spacecraft, Chang’e Lunar Exploration Project and Beijing Olympic Games, to name a few.
